This ship is created for the 2019 GrabCAD Spaceship Design Challenge. Please see the file << Notes - Shadow.docx>> for details regarding construction, and contest requirements.Designed by the military as a surprise attack vessel, the Shadow was outfitted with a subspace drive capable of hiding the vessel in another dimension. When no aliens were discovered, there was no longer a military use for this vessel. Most were decommissioned and sold on the civilian market without the subspace drives. A few stolen ships with functional subspace drives are reportedly in the hands of raiders who are very pleased with the ability to remain undetected.While this ship utilizes removable “wings”, atmospheric flight is impossible for the ship. The wings were added solely to enhance the stereo targeting system by increasing the distance between the optical units.
