Design Concept: A wood-carved pendant resembling a glass bead represents the continuity of spirit, symbolizing the passing down of cultural heritage to future generations. The design also showcases an ancestral guide illuminating the path for descendants. Designed by Lin Ying Jun, this wooden pendant measures 6.8 x 15.6 x 7.9 cm. Usage: Hang it on a windowsill using multiple nails near the curtain rod, securing the rope that holds the curtains in place. Cultural Elements: Glass Beads - Also known as cicada beads, they serve as symbols of indigenous identity status. The Paiwan, Rukai, and Puyuma tribes are notable for their glass bead-making techniques, with the Paiwan tribe having the most intact preservation of this craft among the three.
