Taipei Diplomatic Residence The Taipei Diplomatic Residence is located within the Bao Ai Special Zone in Taipei City, Taiwan. The building's address is No. 1 Keelung Road. Originally it was the residence of the Governor-General of Taiwan during Japanese rule, and now it serves as a state guesthouse for the Republic of China, managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is specifically used to receive foreign dignitaries or host celebratory events. Today, it has been designated as a national monument of the Republic of China. The stone lions in front of the building are made of green jade material, with male and female sizes measuring 41 x 31.5 x 55 cm and 45 x 37.5 x 52 cm respectively. Their style is reminiscent of the Qing dynasty, and their design bears a resemblance to the stone lion statues at the Hsing Tian Kong temple in Tainan's Red Building. It is said that these lions were once part of Taipei's Beigang Temple, but unfortunately, the original source of this information remains unknown.
