Saitama Prefecture's Kawarazuka Kofun stands as a designated Special Historic Site, recognized in 2020. Located within Gyoda City, Saitama Prefecture, this keyhole-shaped mound is a testament to Japan's Kofun Period. The structure boasts an impressive length of 73 meters. Notably, the perimeter of Kawarazuka Kofun features a double rectangular trench, with a portion of the outer trench resembling a pathway. A distinctive constricted section on its western side has been carved out, but details about burial facilities remain unclear due to their unexcavated status. Excavations at the mound's central crest have yielded figurative clay figurines, including pottery figures, providing valuable insights into Japan's ancient culture. The creation of this 3D model utilized Agisoft Metashape technology. For further information, please visit the Saitama Prefectural Museum of History and Traditional Living.
