愛日本アルザス - Amour Japon Alsace

Japon Alsace Amour is an original creation dedicated to my friends from the Japan Alsace Association in Colmar. A huge fan of Japan and manga in particular (check out my other creations), I overcame my shyness and limited mastery of Hokusai's language to meet the members of this very friendly association. The warm welcome and kindness of all the members really touched me, and I also wanted to contribute a little something to Franco-Japanese friendship. The crane, one of Japan's symbols as well as a symbol of peace, pairs beautifully with our Alsatian stork. I also dedicate this modest creation to all binational couples who are contributing to a better world by tearing down borders... while others are only thinking about building walls.
