This ancient dagger-axe was unearthed from the Shanbiao Town Tomb M1 in Weihui City, Henan Province, and was designated as one of our Nation's Most Significant Antiquities. According to expert research, this artifact originally belonged to King Jing of Zhou, despite being discovered within the tomb of a noble Daifu of Jin State; the dagger-axe was awarded to the gentleman as a prize for his bravery in battling Prince Zhao alongside the Zhou King. It was found at the northeast corner of the tomb alongside another rare Xuanfu Ge dagger-axe, suggesting that they were highly treasured.
