There are over 40 human-beast shape jade artifacts unearthed in Taiwan, but only one complete artifact unearthed in Beinan in 1984 is listed as a national treasure and collected by the National Museum of Prehistory. Some archaeologists believe it was used as an ear ornament, while others think it was buried with the deceased.
