Two large stone lions and the plaque of Urgent Public Virtue have been examined, but no connection has been found. With the passage of time and changes in government, the two stone lions were placed together at their current location. The history of these two stone lions is still a topic of great debate, with one theory being that they originally belonged to the Lin family of Bancheng, Taiwan. During the Japanese era, the Lin family donated them to the Taipei Shrine (now known as the Taiwan Shrine, currently located in the Grand Hotel), making them the only pair of stone lions ever placed at a Japanese shrine. Location: 228 Memorial Park, Taipei City, Taiwan References: * http://mypaper.pchome.com.tw/4astone/post/1320335100 * Scanned with EinScan-Pro+ using rapid scan mode, reducing data to 10%
