Chinese regular rifle is the Chinese version of German standard type Mauser rifle, using 7.92mm pointed head Mauser rifle bullet, official name is Chinese regular rifle. It was first produced in 1935 by Gongxian Arsenal (11th Factory of Ministry of War) to replace Han Yang 88 rifles equipped by National Revolutionary Army due to Chiang Kai-shek. From the production perspective, Chinese regular rifle is China's first modern standard rifle. As it was manufactured in the Republic of China year 24, it is also known as the 24-type. Chinese regular rifle originates from noble lineage, replicating German Mauser 1924, its brothers are later known worldwide for their Mauser K98, using 7.92mm pointed head Mauser bullet cartridge, gradually replacing Han Yang 88 rifles to become standard rifles of National Revolutionary Army due to use of Mauser 7.92×57 rifle bullets. At close distance of 300 meters, Chinese regular rifle can totally destroy enemy's three-eight steel helmet. The origin of manufacturing Chinese regular rifle dates back to the decision made at the Military Standard Weapons Conference in 1933. On October 10th, 1935, it officially started mass production, and among existing guns, one was produced on December 1936 with serial number already reaching 58,000. Based on this, Gongxian Arsenal had an annual production capacity of over 40,000 rifles. Chinese regular rifle uses 7.92×57mm Mauser bullets compared to Japan's 6.5×50mm rifle bullets used in Three-Eight Rifles, showing obvious superiority in power. Chinese regular rifle adopts bayonets different from Mauser type due to shorter barrel length, so its bayonet is longer for fighting against longer barrel of Three-Eight Rifle.
