Hello, this is the innovative design of a portable device for transforming plastic bottles into useful filaments. A reliable nema 17 stepper motor drives the entire process with precision, utilizing a gear ratio of 31.5:1 for efficient operation. The manufacturing process involves using any readily available sheet material that's 6mm thick. Four high-quality bearings (608rs) ensure smooth movement and reduced friction. A repurposed heater block from a 3D printer is used to melt the plastic, while a thermistor also sourced from a 3D printer accurately monitors temperature levels. The filament is then extruded through a custom-made nozzle that's been drilled up to 1.6mm in diameter. A powerful 12v fan is employed to cool the device and prevent overheating. The control board, comprising a mega and ramps 1.4 module, expertly manages the entire process with precision.
