The house was designed in 1906 by architect Georgi Fingov for his family. The façade boasts an enigmatic portal column, sculpted by artist Andrey Nikolov with a massive and rugged female face that some associate with Masonic symbolism and the image of Gnostic Sophia due to Fingov's membership in Bulgaria's Free Masons Lodge. Inside the house are sturdy wooden columns, sliding doors, and bookshelves built into walls adorned with walnut and mahogany wood carvings, crystal chandeliers, and a metal lantern around the fireplaces. Five years after its construction, Georgi Fingov was forced to sell the house due to financial difficulties. It was purchased by Engineer Petko Theodorov, brother of Theodore Theodorov and owner of the gold mines in Pernik, who served briefly as Sofia's mayor. During this time, society balls were held within the house walls. After 1947, the house was nationalized and converted into a children's playground. In 1978, it was declared an architectural-structural cultural monument of local significance.
