Bird Feeder. The bird feeder is a simple project that can be made with just a few basic materials, including a plastic bottle, some wire, and a few wooden sticks. First, clean the plastic bottle thoroughly and remove any labels or residue. Next, cut out a small hole in the side of the bottle about an inch from the bottom. This will serve as the feeding port for the birds. Cut four small notches on the top of the bottle to create the bird's perching area. Now it's time to assemble the feeder. Begin by threading the wire through the holes you just cut out and tie a knot at one end to secure it in place. Next, attach the wooden sticks to the side of the bottle using wire or glue. Make sure they are evenly spaced and sturdy enough to hold the weight of the birds. The final step is to hang your bird feeder in a tree branch where you can enjoy watching the birds visit their new feeding spot.
