In Dymkovo's doll, Eisenstein was drawn to both form, which remained true to the archeaic, and the lines of the folk ornament, but most importantly, the coloristic uniqueness of the ceramic creations' painting. The first chapter of his research "Color" (1946-1947) titled "Viatka Mare" found in the folk toy that imaginative freedom with color he dreamed about in film. In animation devised by him from a painted horse, green and red "apples" are set loose, whose adventures show how one and the same color acquires different meanings in art.
