This specific machine was used for producing samples and is much smaller in size compared to a regular one. The steps of the hair processing are as follows: washing, drying, initial processing on another machine ("ambari"), introduction of the hair into the carding machine and extraction of it in the form of "bates" (compressed and flattened strips of hair). The carding machine had an electric motor which through a belt rotated the central shaft. The central shaft is firmly attached to the large central drum, which rotates at the same speed as the central shaft. The remaining cylinders take motion from the central shaft through a system of gears and chain
