The model is of the "Şahi Top", a massive cannon used by Fatih Sultan Mehmet during the conquest of Istanbul. The cannon measures 5.2 meters in length and has a diameter of 92 cm. It weighs approximately 18 tons, with each projectile weighing around 550 kg. These projectiles were capable of traveling up to 1 mile and burying themselves 6 feet deep into the ground. The sound of the cannon could be heard from as far away as 13 miles. The cannon is composed of two cylindrical parts that are connected by iron rods passing through holes on both ends. Gunpowder is placed in the lower part, while projectiles are loaded into the upper section.
