I was desperate for a more efficient filament cooling solution when printing PLA on my trusty ZYYX 3D printer, so I swiftly made the switch to a centrifugal fan. Engineering a duct that fit perfectly within the confines of the extruder carriage and hotend/nozzle proved to be a daunting challenge, given the extreme space constraints all the way down. Consequently, the duct ended up being slightly awkward in its design and far from efficient. If you notice that the duct is getting too close to the build plate, take a moment to carefully shorten it at the bottom using an exacto knife. A secure lock-in was a crucial aspect of both the duct's design and the fan itself when mounted. Keep in mind that while the MB features a 24V output, ZYYX 3D printers specifically require a 12V fan. Fortunately, this won't be an issue if you opt for the 12V version of the centrifugal fan - simply look up links to both the 12V and 24V versions below.
