The Zyltech Gear excels as a printer at its price point, yet requires minor adjustments to reach perfection. Its dual parts cooling fans arrive without ducting, and the Volcano heat block comes without a sock. This absence allows air to cool the block, resulting in a 6 degree temperature swing in either direction that affects print quality. With only the addition of ducting, no sock, and a PID tune, the printer now achieves a ~1 degree total temperature change while printing. It successfully prints with Zyltech PETG, sans supports, on the build surface near the inlet (fan side). Its design accommodates m3 hardware for threading, but securing it with a nut would be beneficial.
