ZX Spectrum Universal Parallel Interface case
thingiverse
This is a case for the ZX Spectrum Universal Parallel Interface by Jiiira. The assembly consists of two distinct parts and a joystick inhibit button. Two versions of the top shell are available, each featuring a different design option; one version has text etched onto it while the other does not have any inscriptions on its surface. It is recommended to choose your preference and only print one version. For those who speak Czech, additional information can be found at http://cygnus.speccy.cz/popis_upi-jiiira-8255.php. As a precautionary measure, it's necessary to make some adjustments as the original PCB design of the "Prototype 2" is not optimized for this project. The joystick-enable switch positioned close to the DB-9 connector has been deemed unreliable and has therefore been replaced with a standard on-off push button switch commonly used in multimeters (such as DT9205). This new switch is soldered onto a separate conversion PCB. The reset button lies at the center of the board, taking the form of a momentary push button. Unfortunately, this design feature has proven to be difficult to extend its active area due to its proximity to the board itself. In response to this challenge, I've opted for using a standard momentary switch combined with a miniature conversion PCB.
