I loved how the 3Dverkstan shield fit snugly to your head without need for elastic, clipping securely in place on both sides. However, my only issues were with the front edge that rested against your forehead, which was a mere 5mm and somewhat uncomfortable. It also kept the shield really close to your face, forcing you to punch holes in transparencies you intended to use. HanochH's uploaded Easy 3D printed faceshield impressed me with its genius snap fitting design, eliminating the need for hole punching altogether. Unfortunately, I didn't care for the strap required with it, as elastic is a scarce commodity these days. Tonight, I spent time in SolidWorks, combining the best features of both designs to create something new. The biggest benefit is that you can now use transparencies, binder covers, and even 2-liter soda bottles with this design, making it easy to change out in just seconds. This should help alleviate the problems caused by increasingly scarce materials until manufacturing can get supply back up. Sorry for my ugly mug on the photos, but my lovely wife was busy making other masks while I worked on this project.
