Zulay Milk Frother Magnetic Holder
thingiverse
UPDATED VERSION:After using v1 for a while I ran into issues where in my haste, I might snag the frother circle on the bottom of the flat holer on top, as well as putting it back in I might jam it on the protective circle at the bottom. While v2 isn't perfect, it is a big improvement as the height has inceased and the curve in the holder reduces (but doesn't eliminate) the chance of catching when removing, and the new bottom increases the tolerance to returning the frother without jamming it on the bottom protective circle. I also used a 3d scanner to scan the Zulay Frother to generate the holder portion for better fit.I reduced the spacing between the magnets and the back wall of the holder, hoping for a stronger grip, but my frig's surface is still too slick on the side, so the double sided scotch tape or similar was still necessary to keep it from sliding down when used. Original: This is a magnetic holder for a Zulay Milk Frother (Amazon ASIN# B09D8T11YS) but could probably work with some others or be adapted. Including the Fusion 360 f3d for that purpose.NOTE: If you are using magnets, you need to pause printing on the layer before the magnet holes get covered. This assumes you are printing in the recommended print orientation with the back of the holder on the print plate, which is needed for placing batteries and strength of print along the length of the holder . Using supports is recommended for the frother tip 'guard'.This is currently design for 4 pieces of 12x2.7mm neo magnets. I used 3 in mine but the side of the frig just didn't have enough friction with the back of this piece to hold it in place. I ended up just putting a piece of super thin doublesided scotch tape on the back of mine for the added friction, or you could smear some RTV silicone, or similar to just give it grip from sliding down.I printed mine at 0.28mm layers so I made the magnets 2 layers away from the 'bottom', so 0.56mm away from the frig/mount point when mounted. You could print at higher layer rez and reduce the distance but still have multiple layers, by moving the model slightly below the print bed (0.2ishmm or whatever your experience has shown is needed to not have the magentics break through) and changing the layer settings. You could obviously also just not use magnets and use medium duty double sided tape. I used a deburring tool to adjust the fit of the Zulay in the holder slightly.
