Pointers at the tops of my RigidBot Z rods inform me right away if they fall out of sync, and I struggled a lot with this at first before getting everything tuned to perfection. Occasionally, however, I inadvertently do something that causes them to get out of sync. I install version 2 of the rod pointing mechanism and point them in the same direction when everything is precisely aligned and level.
