Zortrax Ribbon Cable Support (Vertical)
thingiverse
This is a distinct version of my other ribbon cable support. Check out http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1680656 for details on the other one. This design is simpler and faster to print, requiring almost no support at all. While the angled design may be better-suited for rear-mounted spools, I usually feed from overhead rack or shelf-mounted spools, making the vertical design more suitable for my setup. It's also a better fit when using the Z-Mon filament monitor clipped to the ribbon cable. Print Settings: Printer: Zortrax M200 Rafts: Not necessary Supports: Yes Resolution: 290µ Infill: Whatever works best Notes: Since it's a snap-on design, it needs to flex a bit. Printing it in something like Phoenix nylon is fun because it's almost rubbery, as seen in the black photos. However, I've also printed it with rigid PLAs and that worked just fine too. The orange and gold prints in the photo are made from colorFabb PLA/PHA.
