This indicator displays an approximate material usage estimate for a standard Zortrax spool, eliminating the need to inspect the machine's internal workings. It assumes that the spool diameter decreases from 170mm at full capacity to approximately 83mm when empty. As more material is consumed on the outer diameter initially, the spool diameter will gradually decrease at first but accelerate as it empties. This nonlinear scale accurately reflects this process. This setup requires the use of genuine Zortrax spools and the original spool holder for accurate measurement. While other spools may not provide precise results, you can still track a general trend.
