Zortrax M200 Spool Wall Mount Support
thingiverse
I designed a simple wall-mounted holder for my printing room to store spools of filament. Here's a screenshot showing what I think is the best way to print the holder, minimizing supports and maximizing its strength against stress. Helpful information about how I printed the holder: Printer: Zortrax M200 Rafts: Yes, I used them. Supports: Also yes, I needed some. Resolution: I set it at 0.09mm for high quality. Infill: I chose solid infill to make it stronger. Notes: Don't make the same mistake I did! My first attempt didn't turn out well because I started my supports at 20°, which wasn't enough. Now I start them at 80° and it's much better. It took a bit of trial and error to get it right – the first version was really fragile and broke easily under its own weight. But I repaired it with cyanoacrylate glue and it works great now that it's securely mounted on the wall.
