To create a strong and secure Lexan panel setup, I utilized 2.5mm thick, 320x355mm Lexan panels fastened to a Zortrax printer using neodymium magnets held in printed ABS grommet/handles. For the magnets, I used 0.2 x 0.5" N42 magnets from K&J Magnetics (http://www.kjmagnetics.com/proddetail.asp?prod=DH28), as I had them in stock; however, other magnet options can be adapted. The grommet design is available for editing on Tinkercad (https://tinkercad.com/things/gHvDPMyHoH6-magnet-grommet). The grommet's magnet hole is deliberately undersized, designed to be enlarged with a 5mm drill bit for a snug fit with the magnets. The grommets can be installed in 1/2" holes drilled into the Lexan panels using a step bit and can be secured with solvent welding using methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) or epoxy adhesive. To obtain the Lexan panels, I recommend access to a big metal shear, table saw with fine-tooth blade, or laser cutter for precise cutting; acrylic (Plexiglas) can be scored and snapped if needed but is not applicable to Lexan.
