Zorg ZF-1 Remote Control

Zorg ZF-1 Remote Control

prusaprinters

This is a screen accurate model of the remote control that Zorg uses to activate the ZF-1 gun in the movie The Fifth Element. This was modeled from the exact same type of hand held LCD electronic game that was used to build the original prop, so it is accurate in all dimensions, give or take a 10th of a millimeter or so... I recommend printing with supports, due to the flat overhangs. You will notice a shallow recess in the top cover part where the screen is located, this is to allow space for placing the yellow reflective sticker as used in the movie, or any other graphic you like. [EDIT] v1.2 - I discovered a slight misalignment in the recess for the reflective tape. I've fixed this and labelled the modified parts as version 1.2. [EDIT] v1.1 - I have made spaces inside the unit for springs to allow the buttons to work. I sized the internal holes to suit a spring up to about 7mm wide and 10mm or so tall. The top panel has also been corrected on the side flutes a little to make it more accurate. I added clearances where needed so the parts should all fit together properly now too. I've supplied STL, STEP and the original Rhino 3D files so you can remix and stuff if needed. Just be cool and credit me somehow. :) Category: Props
