Zoom H4n Un-Ripoff Battery Cover
thingiverse
Tired of wasting big money replacing lost H4n battery covers? We certainly were at Ryerson University where I work! So, I designed a heavy-duty cover that replaces the $14+ US$ cover (rip-off!) while giving access to the H4n stamina button. This is simple to print and doesn't require tricky rafts or supports. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: Who Cares? Infill: Make it as heavy and robust as you want, 15% should do, while 25% will make it very strong. Notes No rafts or supports were needed in my print, maybe due to a well-levelled PrintrBot. The "glue" from 3DSystems was used, along with painters tape. Printing at 45 mm/second, the results are very clean and important. How I Designed This 123D Design This cover was created in 123D Design within two prints and tedious measuring to fit snug inside the battery. On the PrintrBot Simple Metal, it printed without a hitch. Download the 123D Design file if you'd like to modify further; the edges are beveled for safety from delicate hands of students. Grab some 1/4 screws online and get printing!
