I'm experimenting with scanning a mysterious item lying on my office desk using an Artec Space Spider. As I test its capabilities, I'm discovering what types of objects prove challenging for it to capture accurately. A black and glossy surface has proven particularly tricky, requiring me to repeat the process three times before achieving satisfactory results. The built-in microphone at the top still picks up noticeable distortions, which might be resolved with improved lighting conditions.
