Zoom adapter for phone case
thingiverse
Once upon a time Lidl launched an innovative "smartphone camera lens" that offered 8x zoom capabilities in a compact package, complete with a protective case designed specifically for various phone models and a miniature tripod that ensured stable shots. However, the initial design had one major flaw: the mini tripod would topple over when attached to the lens. At the time, I was an iPhone 4 user who later upgraded to an iPhone 5 after the launch of Lidl's smartphone camera lens. Unfortunately, the case didn't fit perfectly with my new phone, so I had to make some modifications to get it working properly. But that wasn't the end of my struggles – when I eventually switched to a Galaxy S6, the entire zoom lens system became redundant. That was until I discovered a clever solution while re-examining the Lidl smartphone camera lens case. Inside, I found a small brass ring with female threads, which I carefully extracted and superglued into the printed adapter's hole. This simple tweak allowed me to create a more versatile adapter that fit seamlessly over my regular phone case. The best part? No need to constantly switch between cases or worry about compatibility issues. With this customized adapter, I can simply slide it onto my Galaxy S6 with Spigen tough armor case and start shooting high-quality photos with ease – it's as simple as that.
