The original filament holder that comes with the Zonestar printer was not up to par. It struggled to accommodate large filament spools and was remarkably flimsy. (View images) I wanted to maintain the dual-spooled design on either side of the machine, as well as retain the filament-run-out-detection sensors attached to the original holders. Therefore, I created an extension that fits seamlessly onto the existing filament holders. After utilizing these extensions for some time, I further enhanced them by adding clamps to prevent smaller spool sizes from sliding off towards the end of the holders.
