Product Features: 1. Internal fixings allow for larger skirt and greater clearance around heater blocks. 2. Minimal support is required, thanks to custom support below cantilevered fixing bosses and side cable route. Printing without support is possible, but untested. 3. Left and right hand routes are available for Fan cable. 4. Product model identification is clearly visible on the Duct Facia. 5. Four 2mm diameter holes are provided for using original self-tappers included within the existing fan assembly. Two hex retention slots are also available to use with M3 nuts & bolts, requiring a 3.5mm drill if needed. Installation: 1. Fix the duct to the extruder assembly using the two existing bolts before mounting the fan via the same threaded holes used by the existing fan duct. 2. Fasten the fan securely using four existing self-tappers or two M3 nuts & bolts to the new fan duct. 3. Note that my heater blocks are set approximately 2mm below the bottom of the extruder assembly casing, resulting in a nominal clearance of 4mm from the bottom of the duct to the end of the nozzles. This should be sufficient to clear other objects such as the 19mm bulldog clips I use to retain my glass plate. Printing Part: 1. The prototype was printed in PLA with considerable clearance from the two heater blocks. Printing with PETG or ABS for greater durability may be a good idea. 2. The part was printed at 0.20 layer height and 20% infill, using minimal custom support via Simplify3D. It may print okay without support, but this has not been tested yet. 3.
