It is a complex machine, made up of intricate systems and processes that work together to keep the body functioning properly. The heart beats, pumping blood throughout the body, supplying oxygen and nutrients to the cells. The lungs breathe in air, exchanging carbon dioxide for oxygen, which is then carried to the body's tissues. The brain thinks, processing information and controlling movement through a complex network of nerve fibers.
