Zombie Dog
sketchfab
I was walking home from work when I saw it. My first-ever zombie dog. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before. Its fur was matted and dirty, its eyes were sunken into its skull, and its mouth was stretched wide open in a perpetual scream. But what really caught my attention was the way it moved. It shuffled along on all fours, its limbs twitching wildly as if they were being controlled by some invisible force. As I watched, the zombie dog suddenly stopped moving and looked up at me with a pair of glassy eyes. For a moment, we just stared at each other, and I could have sworn I saw a flicker of recognition in those dead eyes. Then, without warning, it lunged forward and started chasing after me. I took off running as fast as my legs would carry me, the zombie dog hot on my heels. I could hear its labored breathing getting closer and closer, and I knew I had to think fast if I wanted to get away from this undead canine. Just when I thought all was lost, I spotted a narrow alleyway between two buildings and made a beeline for it. The zombie dog followed close behind, but I managed to dodge out of the way just in time and slam the door shut behind me. I leaned against the wall, panting heavily as I tried to catch my breath. That was one close call! But as I looked down at the zombie dog, now stuck on the other side of the door, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for this poor creature. What had happened to it? How did it end up like that? I stood there for a moment, staring at the zombie dog through the narrow gap between the door and the frame. And then, in a flash of inspiration, I remembered something. My friend, a scientist who worked with animals, had once told me about a virus that could turn animals into zombies. Could this be what had happened to my new furry friend? I shook my head, chuckling at the absurdity of it all. But as I turned to walk away, I heard a faint whimpering sound coming from outside the door. The zombie dog was trying to get in. I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I should let it in or not. But something about those pleading eyes and that sad whimper tugged at my heartstrings. Maybe this undead creature wasn't so bad after all. With a sigh, I opened the door and let the zombie dog in. It shuffled inside, its tail wagging limply as it made its way over to me. And as we stood there together, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held for us. Would we be able to find a cure for this zombie virus? Or would we be stuck together forever, an unlikely duo of human and undead dog? Only time would tell, but one thing was for sure: my life was about to get a whole lot more interesting with this zombie dog by my side.
