Zombie Control Collar V6.0

Version 7 is here! What's new? For starters, this one is even smaller than the previous version. Designed to fit a 14-15 inch neck, the old one, up to 20" The adjusters can be tweaked to enlarge the diameter, and I will be providing some larger hinges and front latches as well. For now, if you need a larger one, print the V3.0 collar. The collar is actually supposed to be pretty snug on your neck. You will notice there are even more individual parts than before. This should help during the finishing stage, making it easier to sand. I will probably post some "Quick Prints" where some parts are combined, but I'm not sure if they'll work out yet. The chain plate has been updated with a new design that's even simpler to make. You can print this part or use a piece of flat bar steel and glue (weld) a half a link of chain to it. The sides of the collar have places to put magnets in to hold the chain anchor on. This way if anyone pulls too hard on the chain, it pops off, protecting you and the prop! Please note, this is NOT a screen accurate model, some liberties were taken, and parts were modified to simplify construction, and printing. The parts in this model can be printed with minimal/no supports. The rear quadrants have a perforated web at the bottom to aid in bed adhesion, they will need to be cut off. Here is the list of parts that should be required to print: 1) BaseEndsMonts Sander- Includes a contoured sanding block two light bases and 4 endcaps for the rear quadrants 2) Front Upper Quads- Glue to the top of the Lower quads after sanding and attaching mounts latches and bases. 3) Left_Rear_Upper Quad 4) Right_rear_Upper Quad 5) Adjuster. 6) Badge sander- Glue sandpaper to the end, make it easier to sand the “Z” badge down. 7) Badge 8) Hinge Right 9) Hinge Left 10) Chain plate. This is for dimensions only. I used a piece of flatbar steel with a chain link welded to it, so the magnets would work. You can glue the chain link to the flatbar if you can’t weld it. 11) Battery Compartment Bottom 12) V2 Battery Top Contact 13) V2 Battery door Top 14) V2 Battery Compartment Middle 15) V2 Compartment Bottom 16) V2 Battery Door Bottom 17) V2 Topmost 18) V2 MainBodyassy 19) V2 Left rear Lower Quad 20) Each of the 8 Wire files 21) Left Front Latch 22)Right Front latch 23) New Rear Greeble 24) New RR Quad 25) Basket Base 26) Basket_V1 27) Light plugs 28) Left Front Quad 29) Right Front Lower Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice Dual Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: Print the adjusters and hinge parts with greater infill for strength. Post-Printing: I use Nitro Stan or Bondo Glazing putty after sanding with 120 grit, then finish sand with 220 and 400. Sanding blocks are included to sand the inside of the badge and the quadrants. 3m makes "3M SandBlaster Ultra Flexible Sanding Sheets" super awesome sandpaper, glue it to the sanding block for a perfect fit! I print in ABS so the components are usually glued to each other with ABS doped acetone. Magnets can be epoxied into place How I Designed This: Fusion 360 Baby! Many, many, hours. I've done it so many times now I could probably crank out a whole 'nother version in 4-6 hours! I hope you enjoy this new version of the Fido collar! Let me know if you have any questions or need any help with printing or assembling the parts.
