Hare and Hounds, also known as the French Military Game, is a classic two-player board game. This strategic game was first discovered by the narrator in Martin Gardner's Mathematical Games column in Scientific American. An online version can be found at http://www.mazeworks.com/hounds/. Alternatively, create a 3x3 noughts and crosses board or hide game pieces for an added challenge. Play with traditional paper and counters or take advantage of a 3-D printer for a more immersive experience. The objective is for the Human to escape to the far end of the board while Zombies try to surround them, moving only forward or sideways along pathways. If a repeated move sequence occurs, the Zombies tire and the Human wins.
