ZOHD Nano Talon Belly Cam - Go Pro Session / RunCam
prusaprinters
This is a mount to place in the belly of the ZOHD Nano Talon RC Airplane, and hold a GoPro Session or similar RunCam device. This makes use of the wooden bar and screw hole that are in the belly compartment, and would normally hold the wooden GoPro frame from ZOHD. That mount has a normal sized GoPro, aligned sideways, and pointing straight down. The footage wasn't that good for flight footage. likely fine for mapping. The file now in this Thing will work to allow the camera to face forward, or to the rear. This uses the GoPro Session / RunCam mount from Painles360 (found here - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2223472) and added some bits via TinkerCAD to mount it in Nano Talon. The original mount was perfect for this thing, as it allowed side entry for the camera. The frame around the camera is slightly (~.5mm x and y) than the one from Painless360. This was done so that the camera slid in a bit better when it was printed with PLA. PLA would be best for this, as it would give the best stiffness for the bit that mounts in the plane, as well as providing enough protection during landing. If you print with TPU, note that you might need some shim material to keep the camera secure. Print Settings Printer: Sovol SV01 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 15% Filament: Any PLA Any Notes: You should print on the side as it is by default in STL. Make sure to use supports "everywhere" with 5-10% infill on supports. They should pop out with a little bit of knife and push. PLA will give a snug fit on the camera. TPU will need shim ~.5mm to keep camera in place. Category: R/C Vehicles
