If the dart is landed on asphalt, the original protection wears out very quickly. I saw the bottle cap idea on a quad and found it quite useful for it. I also increased the height, so that the nose is hopefully a little more protected when landing. I broke it twice when landing, because it got stuck on a tuft of grass.
