Zoetrope

We're creating a zoetrope for our project, and we want you to know what it's all about. A zoetrope is an early animation device that creates the illusion of motion by showing a sequence of drawings or photographs that depict progressive action. We chose to make our zoetrope's cylinder out of 3D printed material because paper or cardboard cylinders tend to be flimsy, and we want ours to last longer. Our zoetrope sits on a spinning table that's similar to a lazy susan. We're using marbles to spin it around. The plate inside features a 3D gnome being built, along with a decorative design around the edge made from paper.
