Zoetrope Fidget Spinner
thingiverse
Create a mesmerizing animation in this fidget spinner! It's my take on one my brother discovered on Instructables. A Sketchup file is included for easy modification. Printing takes just 2 hours total. You'll need 2 wheel washers and 1 barrel to assemble it. The animation relies on 2x 625 bearings, similar to those used in v wheels! No support structures are required. The Photoshop file is ready for you to add a filmstrip at 7.125 inches long. Use an Xacto knife to cut out black dashes. Laminate the paper film strip with clear tape for added durability. For optimal results, use it in a well-lit area – the animation shines when spinning fast, but it's relatively short-lived. Some restrictions may apply, so be sure to review the fine print. I also design, manufacture, and sell the Reach 3D Printer at: http://www.Reach3dPrinters.com. Originally inspired by an Instructables tutorial, this project is available here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Zoetrope-Fidget-Spinner/.
