I designed landing gear for my ZMR250 racing quad, allowing it to stay elevated when it lands. The design focuses on being light. For anyone interested, here's my build information: A Glass-Fiber ZMR250 frame provides the foundation. DYS 1806-2300KV motors give me power. BLHELI ESCs with a 20 Amp rating handle the current. The naze32 flight controller keeps everything stable. 5x4.5 props provide lift and propulsion. An D8R-II plus radio receiver receives commands from my Taranis plus radio transmitter. A 1500 mAH 35-70C battery fuels my quad. I don't have FPV capabilities yet, but I'm planning to upgrade soon.
