ZMR QAV 250 Uni-Spacer 14,18 & 20mm - For 4mm and 3mm arms
thingiverse
Remix of Alexnovik. I wanted a 14mm high design instead of the 10mm one uploaded. The goal was to fit my CC3D and Orangerx TX inside it comfortably. The 10mm would have worked, but it would've been a very tight squeeze. To ensure there's some "breathing" room, I added on 4mm more. Additionally, I filled in the USB opening since my cc3d atom doesn't quite align with it. Note: Print the XT60 matching connector from his files. Made modification in SketchUp. I followed Sketchup lessons from BDan. Now, there's an option for 3mm arms as well. The current design has a height of 18mm and 4mm arms. Also, it now comes with a height of 20mm and 3 and 4mm arms. Thanks again to Alexnovik. Edit #2: I printed the 3mm arms in Green. See images. This got me thinking - why not print the height to about 18mm? This will provide ample room for the x4 esc, cc3d, orangerx tx, and Diatone bottom plate with a PCB built-in, saving some space, and vtx. So, this will be a thin one-layer ZMR250. The only thing on top would be battery and FPV camera. This design will look incredibly clean as all wires will be hidden within the spacer. I'll modify one for trial purposes and let you guys know. Edit #3: I printed a 20mm version. Everything should fit inside this spacious cavern. It includes four full-size escs stacked on top of each other side by side, orangerx RX, cc3d atom, vtx to be mounted in the back with camera in front, and battery in the middle. This way, I can eliminate the top plate altogether. At least, that's the goal. I may need to print a camera protector just in case of a crash. PS: I printed this 3mm version at 100% infill, and it's quite solid, much more so than the red color I printed earlier at 20% infill and less prone to twist. However, since this is only a spacer, not a lot of strength is really needed, and weight is crucial. Edit for spelling.
