ZMR 250 landing foot for 1806 motor savers / guards
thingiverse
This thing is triple-inspired based on "ZMR250 landing foot" http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:825793 of "Dinochio" (May 13, 2015), "ZMR 250 1806 motor guard" (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:989179) of "kyletomain" (Aug 28, 2015), and the innovative idea of "mainsail88". I have merged all three designs to create a unique remix. The holes in the cone landing foot of "Dinochio" are now uniform in size because they were previously different. I have crafted a sphere landing foot based on the concept of "kyletomain". By combining elements, various pieces can be created. For instance, you can use just the cone or sphere without the motor guard and attach them directly to the arm with the motor using M2x8 screws. There are cutted versions available as well. The sphere bottom designed by "kyletomain" now features holes for attaching it to the arm and motor. If you prefer not to use the cone and sphere with holes, you can attach the screws directly to the arm instead, using the entire versions of the sphere and cone that are more aesthetically pleasing. Although I only remixed the bottom part of the guard and didn't modify "kyletomain's" original 1806 top guard, I've included his original .STL file with my bundle for convenience. I use M2x8 screws but if yours are shorter, you can utilize the pieces titled "unique holes" which feature uniform-sized holes to attach the screws directly to the arm, accessing them through the holes in the pieces. The other files titled "two holes" have one smaller hole inside a larger one to fit the screw head directly onto the piece rather than over the arm. The pieces are designed for the 1806 motor guard version (with an opening of 25 mm). The screws required to attach the top guard to the bottom one are M3x8. And the original TOP part of the motor 1806 guard (not modified - open motor 25 mm): 1806_zmr250_motor_gaurd_TOP.stl. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: P3 Steel MM Large Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: Nozzle: 0.8 mm - Layer height: 0.3 mm - Shell thickness: 1.6 mm Infill: Fill Density: 35% Notes: The piece has been printed with PLA 1.75 filament using Cura slicer software with a 0.8 mm nozzle. Only if you want to print the TOP part of the motor guard, supports will be required. Post-Printing For attaching the top part of the motor guard to the bottom guard, M3x8 screws are needed. For attaching the bottom parts to the arm holes of the motor, M2x8 screws are required. In my case, 2 mm attaches the motor, 3 mm of the arm, and 3 mm of the landing bottom parts.
