ZMR 180 Lowrider conversion
thingiverse
Having never been satisfied with the ZMR 180 frame's height and ungainly design, I decided to opt for a lowrider look instead. By relocating the camera and vtx to their own compartment, I was able to fit a Naze32, PDB, four esc's, and the receiver in the main body, resulting in a very tidy but tight build. The camera part is secured by its original standoffs, while the body is held together with m3 bolts. The top of the camera housing features slots for velcro straps to securely attach a mobius or similar fpv camera. Initial flight testing on Cleanflight standard PID's was acceptable, but significantly improved after tuning. The usb access point is specifically designed for a Naze32 rev6 mounted above a standard PDB, and the motors used are DYS 1306 3100Kv esc's rated at 16a. The back of the camera section has small tubes to hold the antenna in place. Two fpv camera options are available: my initial choice was an eachine 1000tvl, but I also wanted to use a smaller aio camera that allows for easy vtx channel changes. Once I've had time to fly it and hold a camera simultaneously, I'll post a video of the results.
