I wanted to power a Raspberry Pi 3B from the 24V power supply on the Prusa MK3S. To do this, I needed to implement a voltage step-down from 24V to 5V DC. To achieve this, it's essential to set the small pot screw (around 15-20 turns before the voltage change) while connected to a volt meter to get the correct voltage before connecting anything else. For the voltage regulation module, I opted for the Zixtec 10-Pack LM2596 DC-to-DC Buck Converter Voltage Regulator, which converts input voltages from 3.0-40V to output voltages of 1.5-35V. It's a compact power supply step-down module that can be easily integrated into the printer. To secure the box to the bottom of the printer, I simply used a dab of hot glue.
