ziptied X-end
thingiverse
UPDATE : There was a critical failure on the x-end-motor, which I resolved and expanded space for GT2 belt to compensate. This modification combines elements of Xoan's i3 ziptiedish x-end and Josef Prusa's vanilla Prusa: even LM8UU bearings are now securely ziptied! (I've found 2.5mm zipties work effectively for this setup). Additional enhancements include a 10 mm hole to facilitate smooth Z-axis movement, utilizing thing 1147671's leadscrew anti-wooble solution. A small hole on the x-end-motor accommodates an M3 screw to trigger the Z-endstop switch. Initial prints have been successful, but further testing as X-axis structural components is required; concerns regarding sufficient room for GT2 belt movement still need evaluation. Sources are available on my GitHub fork of Xoan/Josef Prusa: https://github.com/Gad/Prusa3-vanilla. Feel free to explore and use! Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Notes: Remove the embedded top cover bridge support with a pair of pliers – no additional support needed!
