Zipper Pull with Ring
thingiverse
Student project design aims to modify a zipper pull design for a client who survived a stroke and now has right-sided hemiparesis, making it challenging for him to pinch/grasp the tab and pull the zipper at the same time due to weak hand strength. Modified designs feature an added ring for easy pulling. The ring is attached to the zipper through a paper clip, allowing for increased accessibility. Designed by Jessie Perkinson, Occupational Therapist Specialist, and Kaelah Pou, Occupational Therapist Specialist. An oval-shaped ring has also been added to facilitate easier pulling. This attachment is securely fastened to the zipper via a paper clip, enhancing usability. Conceived by Sierra Ruggiero, Occupational Therapist Specialist, and Jennifer Redmond, Occupational Therapist Specialist.
