Zipper Nut

Zipper Nut

thingiverse

My kid and I sport the same Milwaukee heated coats so I designed this Zipper Nut to tell my coat apart from his. This tiny device shows up nicely when zipping up. Printer Settings Maker Brand: Printrbot Print Head: Model Number: Simple Black Rafts: No supports are needed. Supports: Nope! Resolution Setting: The layer height is set at .1 mm Infill Percent: We're not using infill, though we might need to on the nut's underside, but I got it working just fine without any infills so far. Custom Print Instructions: You'll see both Nut and Bolt have an unscrewed but snap fit because they are so thin. When you zip up, press the Nut side down like the pictures show us doing now. So that a thick solid sheet will sit in place inside the nut when two of our differently sized holes sit on each side - it serves like an infill so your prints won't get jammed up by their support material later once they're ready. Cleaning & Removing Artifacts: Post-processing, after you're done with all these steps - remove every single little extra from both peaces making them slide perfectly together!
