To use a Ziploc manual vacuum pump on a Foodsaver jar without plugging in the machine, simply print large-face prints towards the print bed for a smooth seal against the vacuum pump gasket. For added protection against air leaks, print with 2-3 extra shells. To ensure a good seal at the small opening, apply gasket or putty like silly putty; it'll deform when enough pressure is applied, indicating sufficient pumping time. Gasket/putty helps if the lid fits loosely, while a snug fit may require sanding down the adaptor or forcing it in place.
