Zip Ties for 3D-Printing! - 2 min print!
cults3d
I really needed to clean up the tangled mess of wires behind my desk, but I didn't have any zip ties at home. So, I tried 3D-printing some that I found online, but they didn't work very well. That's when I decided to design a better solution. Designing a tool for the job doesn't necessarily make it functional, though. Behind my computer, the wires are still all over the place. It takes just two minutes to print one zip tie. If you're interested in making your own, check out this video: https://youtu.be/AJyiSVeIEqY For best results, use PLA for the locking mechanism and TPU for the wire holder. All-PLA will also work, but it's not as flexible. Need something a bit more flexible? Check out the Elastic Tie: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/home/elastic-ties-optimized-for-3d-printing I'd like to enter this design into the #XYZCHALLENGE. One of my New Year's resolutions is to keep my apartment tidy, especially behind my PC. #XYZCHALLENGE Feel free to ask me any questions or leave a comment!
