Zip-Tie Mount

Zip-Tie Mount

I built this feature to prevent my heating element from backing out of the head during extended print jobs. As the head moved back and forth, the element would slide backward out of the head even with a securely tightened set screw in place. My theory is that as the head expands during long prints, it causes the set screw to slip loose. To test this hypothesis, I used a simple zip-tie, which resolved the issue. With promising results from that test, I designed this mount to attach to the carriage using the existing screws for the bearing mount. It works flawlessly! I've included all necessary files, including the G-code file for quick printing. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Omni Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 1.75mm Infill: 0.1% Notes: 10mm brim
